Sir Kyffin Williams (9 May 1918- 1 September 2006) was a welsh artist from Angelsy who inspired many artists with his amazing paintings. Kyffin Williams style of painting is slab random sploshes of paints on with oil paints, his works are mostly from looking at Mountains regions and lonely farm houses on distance hills. I like the quirks of Kyffin's paintings all the earthy colours combine together to match his theme, also his life drawings are quick sketches the one of a horse above shows that Kyffin has capture its movements.
To me Kyffin was interest in the mountains of Snowdonia, North Wales for his paintings and rocky beaches, his Snowdon painting above is my favourite it shows that mountains are dangerous at night and it looks like it is raining heavily with gales and the little man in the painting trying to go home through the storm, Kyffin died in 2006 but his paintings are still coming strong.
